Our mission is to build an interorganizational community with
information of the Puerto Rican birds to enhance the scientific research
and bird watching activities in the island. We hope that this community
and its activities can be used to effectively aid in the education about and the conservation
of these species.
About AvesPR
The main objective of this website is to provide a system with information of all the bird species of Puerto Rico. This system includes data from the literature and provided by the users, like:- Scientific and common names
- Status of each species in the island
- Abundance
- Food items
- Habitat
- Pictures
- Sound recordings
